Aldershot · island feed
The call. A kitchen island was being fed off a run that had been extended twice with compression joints, one of which was weeping into the cabinet base.
What we did. Soldered a new tee and a pair of elbows on the bench first, so the only heat under the cabinet was two joints instead of six. Pressure-held before the doors went back on.
Burlington · sink trap
The call. Slow drain that three plungers and a bottle of caustic had not shifted. The trap had been re-plumbed at some point so the horizontal run climbed slightly on its way to the stack.
What we did. Cut the old run out and re-made it in PVC on a proper fall, with a fresh trap and a cleanout at the elbow. Nothing about it was blocked once water could actually leave.
Waterdown · water heater
The call. A fifteen-year-old tank leaking at the base seam. No warning, and the pan underneath it had been dry the week before.
What we did. New tank, new flex connectors, and a replacement gas cock because the original would not seat closed. Old unit out the same visit rather than left in the garage.
Oakville · hidden leak
The call. A damp patch in a cabinet floor with no visible drip. Two previous visits by others had replaced the trap, which was never the problem.
What we did. Isolated and gauged the feed. It held at rest and dropped under pressure, which put it in the supply, not the waste. Replaced the stop and the flexible tail.
Bronte · bathroom
The call. A mixer that had stopped turning and two isolating valves behind it that had seized open, so the tap could not be changed without shutting the house down.
What we did. Swapped both stops first, then the mixer. The house kept its water on for all but ten minutes of it.
Millcroft · renovation
The call. A basement suite going in, with the old galvanised branch still feeding the new bathroom wall.
What we did. Ran new copper through the open studs while the framing was still exposed, pressure-tested and left it for the inspector before the drywall went back.
Most call-outs end on the first visit or they end up costing you two. This is what is in the back before we leave the yard, which is why we can usually finish rather than order a part and come back Thursday.
What we do not carry is a fitted bathroom in the back. If a job genuinely needs a second visit we will say so on the first, with the price for both, before anything comes apart.
